“My name is Ngoc Anh from Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) and I feel grateful to be a participant in the “Second Chance” Seminar held in Vietnam. Time flies since it ended on March 4, but I believe that all the participants still have vivid memories of it. The training course was full of knowledge, surprises, emotions, kindness and smiles. It not only brought participants from different continents closer to each other but also developed understanding, trust and friendship among the countries.
More importantly, “Second Chance” gave me great opportunities to discover new aspects of the world, in which there are several “first times” of my life including meeting and talking to former drug users, ex-prisoners, sex workers, transgenders and also learning from other NGOs working in the field. No words can describe my enormous admiration to them, and I am willing to support them more and more.
The training course proves my faith that everyone has potentials and talents to contribute to the development of the society, and none should be excluded from that. Knowing about the reasons and related methods, we can prevent people, especially youth, from making mistakes and also encourage them to live a happy and positive life.
